Philosophy of Success

Quality Counts’ educational philosophy of success is to unearth a student's potential by providing relevant lessons that encourage independence and build confidence, towards producing inquisitive thinkers who have the desire to learn, grow and lead.

We are motivated by the ah-ha moments when a student grasps a taught concept. We are motivated by the signs of a student’s increased confidence towards completing new assignments independently. We are motivated by the high school graduate completing their first semester of college who returns to say “thank you”.

At every encounter, we strive to motivate our students to learn, grow, and lead in school and in their everyday lives.

Learn.

Great leaders must first learn to follow. Our trained tutors and instructors support students by leading them through challenging assignments—providing effective techniques, relevant tips, and constructive feedback that teach and build the skills necessary for achievement in that subject area.

Grow.

Students are provided with challenging, but on-level supplemental activities, specific to the student's interests, that build critical thinking skills and reinforce taught concepts. These activities also ask the student to apply these skills in other contexts towards ensuring success in the classroom and for their future.

Lead.

Our students are encouraged to build upon the skills they learn during lessons to ensure clarity of the skill. At the end of each lesson, instructors ask students to teach him or her at least one thing the student learned during that session. The task of teaching another person develops critical thinking skills and reinforces the learned material.  Sharing their newfound knowledge not only reinforces the information, but it also works to build the student's confidence, giving them the motivation to lead in other aspects of life as well.
